The Senior Project Manager for SDN Development will lead the strategic planning and execution of
SDN (Software-Defined Networking) development projects. This role involves managing
development and integration of the SDN activation, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic
and tactical goals, and overseeing the integration of new IP services.
Key responsibilities –
Lead the SDN development projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and
budget constraints.
Manage project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring
technical feasibility.
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate
verification techniques.
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
Report and escalate to management as needed.
Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, IT, and security
teams, to ensure seamless integration and implementation of SDN services.
Oversee the budget and resource allocation for SDN projects, ensuring alignment with the
overall strategic objectives of the company.
Lead and facilitate troubleshooting for complex project related issues.
Stay informed of industry trends and advancements in SDN technology and project
management practices.
Essential Skills-
Extensive experience in managing large-scale SDN development projects in a complex
enterprise environment.
Proven working experience in project management in the information technology sector.
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software
development in the OSS / Network domain, experience Cisco NSO, Itential workflow
preferred.
Good understanding of Network Orchestration and Activation landscape
Excellent stakeholder management skills and internal communication skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive cross-functional teams towards a common
goal.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Worked in fixed-line Telecom, has a broad understanding of telecom products. NB: Mobile
only experience not useful.
Qualifications-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a
master's degree preferred.
Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and network
architecture (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are highly desirable.
