Key accountabilities

• Develop and maintain detailed financial models including discounted cash flow (DCF), merger and acquisition (M&A) models, leveraged buyout (LBO) models, and valuation models.
• Assist in the execution of transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital raises. Conduct thorough due diligence, prepare pitch materials, and support deal structuring.
• Engage with clients to understand their strategic objectives and provide tailored financial advice. Present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
• Perform comprehensive industry and market research to support investment banking activities. Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and economic factors.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and memorandums for internal stakeholders and clients. Ensure all materials are accurate, well-organized, and professionally presented.
• Work closely with senior bankers and cross-functional teams to support the execution of deals and the development of client relationships. Contribute to team efforts and share best practices.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the transaction process. Stay updated with industry regulations and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment banking or a related financial role, with a strong focus on financial modeling and valuation.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, including DCF, M&A, and LBO models.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be based in Bangalore, or willing to relocate.
